Powers for Success

We show PRIDE at Henry Hinde! As a school community, we have come together to create our five new Powers for Success. These powers guide not only how we learn, but also how we grow socially and emotionally. They help our children develop the confidence, resilience, and skills they need to thrive in an ever‑changing world as they move through school and beyond.

• P is for Perseverance: The power to keep trying even when things are difficult. Never give up, try different strategies, and learn from your mistakes.
• R is for Reflection:  The power to think about our learning and how we can improve. Think about successes, areas for growth, and set goals.
• I is for Independence: The power to work on our own and make good choices.
• D is for Determination: The power to stay focused and committed to our goals. Key behaviours: Staying on task, completing work, overcoming obstacles.
• E is for Engaged: The power to be fully involved and enthusiastic about learning.
